SM: Error while sync with SCE [Quarantine mode]

aquafon123
Level 1
Level 1

[SCE 8000]

System version: Version 3.6.5 Build 489).

[SM]

./p3sm --version

3.6.5 Build 300

[Problem desc]
I have 2 SCEs, not in cascade mode.
SCE S132SCE8000T2  gone to quarantine mood and can't auto-recover.
./p3log -> log.txt says (attached):
2011-06-01 13:24:00 | ERROR | SM    | SCE S132SCE8000T2 has been put in quarantine for the next 7680 seconds - Failed to perform logon operation
I moved SCE back to normal operation using ./p3net --connect --ne-name=S132SCE8000T2 and quarantine reset.
Now situation as follows:
Synchronization Status: Not-done(100% failures) for S132SCE8000T2.
I try to use ./p3subs --resync --ne-name  with no effect:
>./p3sm --resync --ne-name=S132SCE8000T2
Error - Failed to synchronize S132SCE8000T2
S132SCE8000T2 is not active
How can I resolve the problem and why the failure occured?

Hello,

For this one, I think you will need to open a service request with TAC.

I would look at the umlog on the SCE and the SM, as well as the dbglog.txt from the SCE.

These can be found in the support files:

SCE#logger get support-file ftp://user:passwd@10.10.10.10/./support-file.zip

  • ~pcube/sm/server/bin//p3sm --extract-support-file -o SM-Support.zip

  • Also, run a tcpdump on the SM when trying to resync and look for anomalies in the connection.  Look also for the CPU usage on the SCE.

    Regards,
