Hi, I have a query regarding the below condition:

Can i use inter VRF routing without MP-BGP while using VRF lite ? That means is it possible to import or export route target without MP-BGP ?

Hi ollyahmed,

In short - yes, you can use inter-VRF routing without MP-BGP with vrf-lite.

So you can use some import-policies based on RTs for internal route-leaking. I know by my hands that on NX-OS 6.2 it is working. But I would not recommend such scheme if you have a chance to made MP-BGP.

You can also do some external route-leaking - when you connect one port on one box in vrf 'VRF1' to port on another box in vrf 'VRF2'

But. It is not very attractives schemes for further maintaining and troubleshooting. It is much easier to do MP-BGP without hurts in brain later.
