1552E External power options

Dear all,

I bought a power supply for the CISCO 1552E's to make sure both radios are up and running. But when i plug in the power with POE removed, the AP seems to not power up. No signs of power at all. Is there anything else I must do apart from plugging the cable to the mains and the AP ? Thanks. Urgent issue though.

Hi,

Have you used a tester to ensure you are getting power to the end of the cable, when it is plugged in?

Apart from that I think you just have to plug them in!

Sorry I don't have more info.

Very best wishes

Mike

Hi

You have to use AIR-PWRINJ1500-2= power injector to power this AP. Below is the extract from 1550 ordering guide.

"Do not use any other power injector or switch for Power over Ethernet with the 1550 Series access points. The 1550 Series is approved for use only with the AIR-PWRINJ1500-2="
