AIR-CAP3702E-A-K9 will not register to WLC 5508 with code version 8.2.100 currently. I keep on getting below message when consoled into the AP.
%CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC. Either IP address is not assigned or assigned IP is wrong. Renewing DHCP IP.
Originally we were on 7.4.140 and was told to upgrade due to incompatible code with the WLC and controller. I upgraded code to 8.0.121 and AP is still unable to join. Since I have changed the version of code on the AP to ap3g2-k9w8-tar.153-3.JC.tar and ap3g2-k9w8-tar.153-3.JC.tar and ap3g2-k9w8-tar.153-3.JC.tar and still no luck.
Controller is on 10.1.24.11 / 24 Vlan 24
AP is @remote site using 10.99.24.165 /24 on vlan 24 and I can ping the AP from the controllers gatweway.
I have manually set the IP and the gateway and the controller IP address and still no luck . I also have set DHCP pool with option 43 and I see it identifies the controller's IP correctly, but still no bueno. Any ideas? what information should I add here ? Thanks.
