Cisco 2802I number of clients for full hd streaming

Dear All,

next week we plan an event in which 50 users need to be able to access a full hd life stream with their wireless clients.

We have 3 Cisco APs in that room (2 x 2802I and 1 x 2702I).

Is there a thumb rule how many clients using full hd can share one access point simultaneously ? I guess the bandwidth will be between 10 and 20 Mbit/s per client.

Are there any config tweaks you would recommend for this event ? We have disabled all data rates lower than 12 Mbit/s.

Thanks.

I would make WLAN 5GHz only.  Also make both radios of 2802 in 5GHz (including Flexible radio). Channel bond to 40MHz.

Here is a demo video that shows 2802 is capable of such use case.

In addition to what Rasika has mentioned, make sure your uplink is 1 Gbps all the way. If the HD video is located out in the internet then make sure you've got adequate WAN bandwidth to support, say, >200 Mbps.
