Cisco 819 - Verizon - no service

I have a new install of a Cisco 819 using a Verizon SIM.  The SIM works on a Verizon usb device and is able to pull down the correct static IP when pointing to the correct APN.  When plugging it into the 819 (tried multiple 819s), the "show cell 0 net" shows up as "no service".   I have let the router sit for 30 minutes or so and still no change in the service.

Router#show cell 0 net
Current System Time = Fri Apr 28 19:39:47 2017
Current Service Status = No service
Current Service = Unknown
Current Roaming Status = Home
Network Selection Mode = Automatic
Network =
Mobile Country Code (MCC) = 311
Mobile Network Code (MNC) = 480
Packet switch domain(PS) state = Not attached
Registration state(EMM) = Searching/Not Registered
Tracking Area Code (TAC) = 64009
Cell ID = 64105731
Primary Scrambling Code = 65535

I have the 4g antennas on the router and the signal shows good looking at the "show cell 0 radio" command.

Router#show cell 0 rad
Radio power mode = ON
Channel Number = 5230
Current Band = LTE
Current RSSI = -56 dBm
Current RSRP = -89 dBm
Current RSRQ = -17 dB
Current SNR = -5.7 dB
LTE Technology Preference = AUTO
LTE Technology Selected = LTE
Router#

One of the debugs shows:

*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: Attempting async line dialer script
*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: Dialing using Modem script: lte & System script: none
*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: process started
*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: Asserting DTR
*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: Chat script lte started
*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: Sending string: AT!CALL
*Apr 28 19:06:14.899: CHAT3: Expecting string: OK
*Apr 28 19:06:34.899: CHAT3: Timeout expecting: OK
*Apr 28 19:06:34.899: CHAT3: Chat script lte finished, status = Connection timed out; remote host not responding

Not sure if it is a provider issue or a config issue.

I have tried multiple configs, with no change in the service message.

Thanks.

Have you used the "cellular 0 lte profile create 1 ..." command to configure the APN?

Yes,  I used the mw01.vzwstatic with no authentication as that is what I used when using the sim in the lg card for the static IP.
