Clients not roaming with newly installed APs and controller

We have Datalogic brand Falcon X3 hand held wireless scanners.  Users drive forklifts rapidly through the warehouse and use the scanners.  When we had Cisco 1200 series autonomous access points there were no problems.  We just installed all new CAP 2702 model FlexConnect access points and a new 5508 controller.  Now the Falcon clients "stick" to a distant AP and do not seem to roam.  Same tipe clients on access points that are NOT FlexConnect do not have this problem.  Can anyone suggest measures to (1) troubleshoot, or (2) resolve?  Thank you.   We configured "Optimized Roaming" on the controller but that only made matters much worse so we backed that off.

Have you defined a FlexConnect group & put your all APs in that warehouse to same FlexConnect Group ?

What type of security settings on that WLAN (WPA2-PSK ?)

It is open authentication and no, we have not defined a FlexConnect group & put the APs in that warehouse  into same FlexConnect Group.

Open authentication with mandatory WEP.  And no, we have not defined a FlexConnect group & put the APs in that warehouse  into same FlexConnect Group

I would suggest  to test with a WLAN that has WPA2-PSK security. (WEP is no longer secured).

Makesure you create a FlexConnect group  & put your APs onto it. That is required for smooth roaming in FlexConnect.

What is the controller version you running. If it is 8.x below URL should help.
