Deploy a new 5508 as a secondary WLC into network

Hi Friends,

I'm really poor in WLC deployment.

I need to deploy a new 5508 WLC into network as a secondary controller. The primary WLC (5508) has been configured as a single WLC as of now and working good.... Now I need to deploy the new 5508 as the secondary controller.

I could connect to the console and do the basic configs. (Service interface and Management int IP Addresses etc,)

Now I need to perform two tasks:

1) I should synchronize the configuration from the primary 5508 to the secondary 5508 which i have just added. Please guide me how to do it?

2) I need to configure the HA (failover) using the RP or by giving static Pri/Sec/Ter per AP.

Please help me ASAP as I am not much used to WLC deployments.

HI,

1. Is it a HA-SKU license model(secondary )?
2. Or do you have atleast 50 AP license on secondary WLC ?

As per screenshot, I can only say that :

primary WLC has 25 AP license.

secondary don't have any base AP license but I think it has HA SKU license.( you can check what's written on invoice for decoy day WLC, it must be as AIR-5508-HA)

You invoice can show the part number you baught. ( it will tell the exact license type)
