Disconnection of mobile devices as Iphone

Good morning!

The behavior of some mobile devices ( as Iphone , Itouch, not Blackberry) with WL Controller is that, when the client doesn't use it, it disconnects after eight minutes.

The client doesn`t use the device:

First minute:

(Cisco Controller) >show client detail 002241866998
Client MAC Address............................... 00:22:41:86:69:98
Client Username ................................. usuari
AP MAC Address................................... 04:c5:a4:f2:4b:50
Client State..................................... Associated
Client NAC OOB State............................. Access
Wireless LAN Id.................................. 5
BSSID............................................ 04:c5:a4:f2:4b:52
Connected For ................................... 120 secs
Channel.......................................... 1
IP Address....................................... 172.18.24.22
Association Id................................... 3
Authentication Algorithm......................... Open System
Reason Code...................................... 1
Status Code...................................... 0
Session Timeout.................................. 21600
Mobility State................................... Local
Mobility Move Count.............................. 0

Security Policy Completed........................ Yes
Policy Manager State............................. RUN

After eigth minuts, the device doesn't appear as a client in the WLC:

(Cisco Controller) >show client detail 002241866998
Invalid client MAC address provided.

When the client reconnect the device:

(Cisco Controller) >show client detail 002241866998
Policy Manager State............................. WEBAUTH_REQD

What Can I do to solve this?

Thank very much!

Ana,

On the main controller tab, take a look at the user idle timeout. What value is this set for?

The user idle timeout removes the client from the database when this timer has elapsed.
