Downgrading WLC 2504

Hi

My spare WLC 2504 is running 8.4.100.0 and want to downgrade to 7.4.140.0 to replace old 2100

APs on old 2100 are 1242AG and by the Cisco compatibility list should work without any problem

Is it possible to do the downgrade? Is there any specific steps for it?

It’s is always possible to downgrade as long as there is a code available for the platform and you follow/read the release notes for that image.

You can downgrade, however, because it is a major downgrade of versions it is best to wipe the config and start with a fresh one.
