Hi all ,
My company has just implemented wireless QoS . Critical services has been applied as Platinum .Now , we need to test if the DSCP markings are per expectations or not . Like : DSCP "EF" and "AF" markings.
I have been searching cisco documents from sometime but no luck . Can anyone help me out here , I need to see the DCSP EF and AF markings from wireless perspective .
Thanks in advance .
Regards
Edward

^^ This is the only way to be 100% sure.
Alternatively, if you mean you want to check out the config assocaited with QoS mappings, see here for details;

Hi Edward,
You have to check end-to-end QoS settings to ensure it is preserved across the path. Below may given an idea

Over the air capture is required to see what QoS value you seen in wireless frames.
If you get 5520/8540 with AireOS 8.2.x or above, you can get DSCP value as part of netflow data. So you can monitor that field specifically.

From wired side, you can do that using captures & also using a netflow analysis tool

Hi Rasika ,
Thank you for the suggestions . My WLC is 5508 with Version 8.3.143.0
If Netflow is useful here , we do have Cisco Stealthwatch , will this be of any help to get the wireless DSCP for the marked traffic ?

Hi Ed,
Though 5508 does not support enhanced netflow, it got IP_DSCP as one field out of 10 fields in its netflow records.

Not sure stealthwatch support that flow format & you can get it analyzed. Give it a try & see
