Hi,
We have a 2504 WLC and 1702 access points. I just want to know if there's any way we can confirm that Client Band Select is working or if a 5Ghz client was connected through Band Select? We have enabled Band Select per SSID and enabled it Globally as well, but we still have plenty of clients in 2.4Ghz, I would say about 40%.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you Scott. I will try that at the end of the day and see how it goes tomorrow.

AP#show controller d0/d1
The Band Steering portion of show controller is only displayed when Band Steering is enabled.
The following shows typical output for the Band Steering portion of show controller:

We ended up opening a new SSID that only works on 2.4Ghz, and and turned of 2.4Ghz on our corporate SSID. It is working greate. Those clients with dual radio and keep connecting to 2.4Ghz didn't have a choice but to connect to 5Ghz. We didn't have wifi performance issues after that.
Thanks guys.

Yes, that is the BEST way to take the station decision making process out of the mix. Bravo ..
Two production WLAN
2.4 and 5 and manage which clients go on what WLAN. DONE DONE DONE

We haven't had any issues after this solution. Except for some Apple devices which are known to have intermittent issues with wireless.
