Currently we can't configure it using the GUI, we expect to support this in 8.4

Thank you prpineda,

By when would the 8.4 be released.

Also for adding the MAC ID via CLI, should the WLAN be in disabled state. Below is the command.

"

config macfilter add MAC_address wlan_id

We expect to have this release available by march

Thanks prpineda,

Cd u plz help with below query;

"for adding the MAC ID via CLI, should the WLAN be in disabled state ?"

Hello @manvik & @prpineda

Could you help me this matter, I can't using MAC filtering on Aironet2802I

1. I enable MAC filter, but it show me Local MAC address is empty

2. Does we need to Disable the WLAN before enable MAC filter and add the MAC address because I enable and added when WLAN is enable so it's not working right.

WLAN gets reconnected while changing authentication mode. Can you share a screenshot of the error.

Currently we can't configure MAC filtering on the GUI, only CLI using the commands mentioned in this document.

  • Issue the config wlan mac-filtering enable wlan_id command in order to enable MAC filtering. bEnter the show wlan command in order to verify that you have MAC filtering enabled for the WLAN.

  • config macfilter add command:

The config macfilter add command lets you add a macfilter, interface, description, and so forth.

Use the config macfilter add command in order to create a MAC filter entry on the Cisco Wireless LAN controller. Use this command in order to add a client locally to a wireless LAN on the Cisco Wireless LAN controller. This filter bypasses the RADIUS authentication process.

    config macfilter add MAC_address wlan_id [interface_name]
    [description] [IP address]

We expect to support this feature on the GUI for 8.4

Hi prpineda,
