MAC Filtering Options

We're in the process of upgrading our wireless controllers and just doing a general clean up of our wireless envrionment. Currently we do MAC filtering through ACS with a built in database. The version of ACS is antiquated so we are looking for replacements or upgrading ACS.

Is there a better MAC filtering alternative? I see that the WLC actually supports built in MAC filtering, is that a better alternative?

And yes, I realize MAC filtering provides very little added security but it is still a business requirement and therefore we'll implement it one way or another

If your doing Mac filtering its probably best to keep it on ACS. You can do it on the WLC but your limited to 2048, which includes local users also. Of you have one WLC then you can either route but if you have two or more WLC's it's easier to manage them locally in one spot.
