Hello

I intend to connect a small network outside the main building by a mesh point to point link. In this small network are several vlan's in the ethernet network active. Is it possible to use the mesh point to point link as a trunk with tagged vlan's? If this not works, what alternativ exist?

Controller: WLC 2504

AP: 2602

Regards

Pascal

Yes, this is possible.  You will need to configure your RAP/MAP to peform "ethernet bridging".

Also, this section is regarding vlan tagging for your various interfaces.

If your providing wireless outside also, with mesh you would be able to use the same wlan to vlan mapping as your internal AP's do.  The backhaul would use the 5 ghz and the client access would be on the 2.4ghz.  You can allow client access on the backhaul, but it might degrade the link.

Thanks,

Scott

Hello Scott

I don't have wireless clients on the far end but a Cisco switch with several vlans. The idea is to connect this switch with his vlans to the main building over the wireless point to point connection. It is a bridging between to ethernet networks over wireless with tagged vlans. Is this possible?
