Override Global Dynamic Channel Setting on one Wireless Access Point

I would like to manually set the 2.4Ghz Channel on one of our wireless access points without changing global settings on the rest of our access points that are controlled by our 5508 WLC.  The configuration page for the access point shows a radio button for "Global" and "Custom" in the RF Channel assignment section but both are greyed out.  Can I change just this one AP without changing the global settings for dynamic channel assignment on the WLC?

yes.  you are almost there.  you "custom" assign the 2.4 channel on this one AP which is different than the global assignment method (RRM etc).  You can also leave the TPC power level to be defined "globally".

hope this helps

Thanks for responding!  The problem is the "custom" radio button on the configuration window on for the target AP is greyed out.  I can't select it and can't find anyway to activate that option.

Never mind... I found it.  The "Radio Role Assignment" has to be set to manual and applied... then the custom radio button is available.
