Cisco WLC 8540

Controller software : 8.5.135.0
Assignment of Power & Channle : Auto

What determines the power level, Is it only the APs bound to your controller or is it all the APs in the vaccinity?

Dose channle assignment take account for other APs in the vaccinity or dose it only count the ones bound to your controller?

Hi

As I understand ..

What determines the power level, Is it only the APs bound to your controller or is it all the APs in the vaccinity?

This could be APs or other co-channel interfering devices such as Bluetooth (BLE) in the vicinity.

Dose channle assignment take account for other APs in the vaccinity or dose it only count the ones bound to your controller?

It takes account other APs in the vicinity.

The suggested setting is auto unless you have a very compelling reason.

hope this helps
