1) The AP 1700I work stand alone?

The 1700 series access point is available in both controller-based (Unified) and standalone (Autonomous) configurations, and supports:

  • Simultaneous dual-band (2.4-GHz and 5-GHz) radios
  • Integrated antennas (AIR-CAP1702I-x-K9)

2) How can i access it without cisco controller?

You need to have an account on Cisco.com to access Cisco Tech Zone. If you do not have an account, you can create one by clicking Register Now on the Log In page.

Hold on, hold on ... This is a 1700 right?

Console into the AP (username/password:  "cisco") and in enable mode, enter this command:  config capwap ap autonomous
