Radio issue in cisco access points

Hi All,

We have installed 60 cisco access points in a site. all are working fine, except 10 access points. all the user are connecting  to 2.4 Ghz radio and no users are connecting with 5.0 Ghz in those 10 access points only. Same users are able to connect with 5 Ghz radio in all other 50 access points.

1. all 60 access points are connected with same controller.

2. all access points are up and running with same firmware.

It would be great, if some one helped me to resolve this issue?,Thank you.

  1. Are those 10 APs have the 5.0 Ghz radios operational (and not "admin down" due to incorrect Regulatory Domain)
  2. Are the SSIDs broadcasted to 5.0 Ghz?
  3. What firmware is the controller running on?
  4. What country code is the WLC configured for?
  5. What is the EXACT model number/SKU are these APs?

Follow exactly what Leo said but also look at your AP groups if you are using that feature. You should also verify yourself if your device can or can’t see the 5GHz.
