Just did a dot11 radio link test on a point to multipoint 1400 series bridges. Can someone tell me how to read the results of the test?

POOR (121% retries)  Time   Strength(dBm)   SNR      SNR          Retries

msec      In     Out    In      Out         In   Out

      Sent : 100, Avg  30    - 78    - 88    11        4   Tot: 103   140

Lost to Tgt:   0, Max 993    - 78    - 85    12      138   Max:  20    27

Lost to Src:   0, Min   2    - 80    -254    10        3

it's a little hard to read as the fields do not line up, but it looks like your Sent was -78, and receive was -88.  Which could be a differnce between the antennas, or the configured power level.

Was there a particular issue you were trying to troubleshoot by doing the link test?

we have a marginal link, has you can tell, trying to find if a antenna reallingment may help.

Also loaded the test resutls in another format.

Antenna alignment may help. How far apart are they, external antenna or the built in? What channel and power level are they both configured for?

I'll see if I can't find the bridge calculator as well.

how can I see what power level it is using?

We are on 5785. That seems to be the only channel that will work.

It should be in the show run if you've actually set it.  But you should also be able to pull a show controllers dot11radio < module number> and it will show it to you there
