Hi,

I've got two AIR-CT5508-K9 ( running 8.0.110.0 ) controllers acting as mobility anchors in the DMZ, they are randomly rebooting, I've done a bug search and can't see anything, a Google has found :-

Hi Dexter,

Late last evening, Cisco's senior engineers said we could expect fix code by
this Monday, and provided this input:
To give you a little background on this bug - this issue is mainly due race
condition with rogue task and double call/release of a function causing crash.
Unfortunately all this while until early this month we have not received the
right dumps from other customers running into this bug hence we could not RCA.
We have finally received full dump from a customer first week of March to root
cause and fix this issue by March 5th.

Again- Monday *should* bring relief, and I'm glad Cisco took yesterday's input
to heart.

Anyone know of a definitive version of 8 code that fixes this ?

Regards,

Andy.

Hello

1. this is not a WLCCA question, so I will move this discussion to the correct forum

2. if you are using 8.0.110.0, and you have webauth observing silent reloads, it is recommended to migrate to 8.0.120.0, that provides significant fixes for mobility, sleeping client and specially webauth scenarios

As per the link which you had posted,

BUG details are :

WLC 8.0.100.0 crashes due to Task Name: apfRogueTask_0
CSCuq74491

Symptom:
Controller crashes in rogue task

Conditions:
5508 WLC running 8.0.100.0

Workaround:
Disable rogue detection (config rogue detection disable all).

Further Problem Description:
This crash occured due to a null access in rogue. This has been identified/tested and fixed.

Which are fixed in below versions:

8.0(104.7)
8.0(110.9)
8.0(115.2)
8.0(120.0)
8.0(120.1)
8.0(120.101)
8.1(10.191)

I've upgraded to 8.0.120.0 and enabled SSO on the pair of 5508's.
