Hello

I got virtual Wireless LAN Controller installed with version 8.1.102 on VMWare ESXi 5.1 running on IBM x3550M4 and the network card is E1000

Want to download via tftp the update to 8.3 but fails after 91%.

The following error comes. pls suggest.

Connection received from 172.22.8.250 on port 7700 [31/10 13:10:14.647]
Read request for file </AIR-CTVM-K9-8-3-102-0.aes>. Mode octet [31/10 13:10:14.648]
Using local port 64406 [31/10 13:10:14.657]
File <\AIR-CTVM-K9-8-3-102-0.aes> : error 10054 in system call recv An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. [31/10 13:14:09.219]

I tried with FTP it doesn't work the network card seem's to crash for a little while because of the download failure.

Any clue?

Try to perform this from the wired network. Also if you still have issues, see if you can backup the config via TFTP or FTP. Make sure your FW on your machine is not blocking.

I did and the check is successful

Upgrade to v8.2.130.0 then to v8.3 and see how that goes.

hi Scott

I'm on the wired network on same subnet than the WLC and no FW between us.

Try to backup the config to tftp/ftp and verify that works first.
