Edit the config and move the command which creates the RF-Profile to the top of the RF-Profile commands.

Remove out-of-box settings and this will work!

1. Go to WLAN -> AP Group  then delete out-of-box group

2. Go to Wireless -> RF Profile -> Out-of-box remove the settings for Radio A and B/g/n

BOOM!

configuration with rf-profile commands cant be uploaded
CSCuj15593
Description
Symptom:backed up WLC configuration, with rf-profile commands, can not be uploaded to another WLC.

Conditions:WLC configuration with rf-profile commands if both 802.11a and 802.11b/g profiles exist.
Workaround:1. Open the configuration file in a text editor. Find the commands related to rf-profile
2. This bug happens when the the commands for rf-profile data rates/transmit power etc occur BEFORE the command that actually creates the rf-profile. For example, you may see something like this

config rf-profile data-rates 802.11a mandatory 6 test
config rf-profile data-rates 802.11a supported 9 test
.....
config rf-profile create 802.11a test

3. Move the "create" command before any of the other commands related to the rf-profile. So the above should be changed to

config rf-profile create 802.11a test
config rf-profile data-rates 802.11a mandatory 6 test
config rf-profile data-rates 802.11a supported 9 test
.....

4. Download the new config to the controller as usual

More Info:wlc software 7.4.110.0. create a config back up with rf-profile configuration. then try to upload it to another WLC. it will fail saying following in the debug:-
*TransferTask: Sep 05 18:05:52.951: RESULT_STRING: Error: There can not be multiple maps for the field 58.1.5.0
Config CLI:config rf-profile data-rates 802.11a disabled 6 test123

Hi mohanak,

I believe what you posted is for 58.1.5.0 error and not 59.1.5.0. I encountered the same issue with miguel and the workaround is to remove the out-of-box settings. unless miguel is using out-of-box feature which could possibly use the one you mentioned.

Cheers,

Jaccobb

The issue is the position of the create Rf profile on the configuration file. You need to edit the configuration file to place this command on the top of all other RF profiles.  Or just remove all the rf profiles which out of box is one.

Jaccobb, exactly. I received the same error (59.1.5.0) & we had to remove those default rf-profile statements in order for the config to be accepted. Simply moving the create statement to the to wasn't sufficient.

I'm glad that this was identified as a bug:)  I've just learned to make the changes agrees beating my head on the table a few times. I wish that the GUI showed the errors also, because I was able to figure this out when using the CLI.
