Has anybody installed this? I tried but never could get the WCS service nor Apache server to start. Went back to version 4.1.83 and it started fine.

Silly question, but have you rebooted?

I know, you shouldn't have to reboot a linux box, but for some reason with WCS upgrades, it helps

what error messages are you getting?

/var/log/httpd/error.log or ssl_error.log

Yes I rebooted but WCS and Apache service still would not start.

Can you paste output from /var/log/messages & /var/log/httpd/error.log or ssl_error.log

Also, what is the output when you do the following:

/etc/init.d/httpd restart

/etc/init.d/WCS restart (or /opt/WCS4.1/StartWCS)

4.1.91 seems to be removed from the server, maybe there is a reason...

Regards

hmmm... It is still there, I just downloaded it.

Reviewing the release notes, it seems to be just a maintenance release with no new features.

I think I will hold off a bit and see how others fare with this release

This version is working ok for me on our Win2003 server.

It's working great on Server 03. It fixed some bug issues we we're seeing like slow client enumeration and the super user group fix.

It also fixed the "services stop when local user logs off" bug, even though it was set up as a service. One thing I did notice though is that 4.1 in general seems to be more picky about having the recommend RAM. I had a lot of weird start up errors when i wasn't using the recommend RAM which i didn't when using pre 4.1. Mainly do to VMWare install.
