I have a AIR-CT8540-K9 running version 8.2.167.6 which doesn't have 802.1AX. The recommend version is 8.5.151.0 Can anyone tell me if this has 802.1AX? I know 8540 Wireless Controller does have 802.1AX but I can't find out when it was added.

Hi, the support of 802.11AX begins in version 8.9.100.

You can find this information in the release note : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn89.html

And you obviously need WiFi 6 APs: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/wireless/catalyst-9100ax-access-points/index.html

Yeah it’s not the controller code, it’s the AP’s that need to support ax then you have to verify what controller code supports that model access point.
