Why should we choose secure wireless connection over Window 7 DI

Currently we are deploying a guest access solution for internet only services, using ISE MSE NCS and WLS's.

What are the benefits of using Cisco solution over Windows 7 with direct access and VDi technology such as Moca5.

Two different things. Guest access for wireless is like a hotspot (Starbucks, Panera, Hotel, etc). You want to provide them Internet access only. VDI is usually or internal connection.

Dear Scott,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry my question was incomplete

The requirement is to deliver a BYOD solution which is secure for employees and third party contractors

In my design for the secure BYOD solution, is there a need for a Moca 5 VDI technology?

Is this beter than a pure Cisco ISE solution using 801.x for security?

Using VLAN, ACL we can segment the secure connections and using AD authenticate staff for secure, controlled and monitored access. Is this the best practise / approach according to Cisco?

OR

should be have the flexconnect solution and add Moca 5 as the MDM solution?

Policy will be:

*** Guest = Internet surfing only

*** Emplyees = VDI Farm for secure access to the corporate IT Services

Cheers

Hello,

As per my understanding, using CISCO ISE you can achieve these task:

*** Guest = Internet surfing only

*** Emplyees = VDI Farm for secure access to the corporate IT Services
