I've logged into the device and enable http and https but when I login using the IP mentioned in the BVI.

I get 404 error.

Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
BVI1 192.168.88.32 YES DHCP up up
GigabitEthernet0 unassigned NO unset up up
GigabitEthernet1 unassigned NO unset administratively down down

Any Solution ??

Hi

Error 404 means "server could not find what was requested". Did you enabled and save it?

-If I helped you somehow, please, rate it as useful.-

The error started only 404.
I've saved the coffee and restarted the AP also

HTTP/HTTPS error are well documented and they have a meaning. That´s why I add this info.

404 = file not found.

Those files are in a directory created when the .tar file is extracted to flash along with the IOS image.

How did you install the IOS - by just copying on the IOS image or by using the archive download-sw command with the .tar file from cisco software download?

If you use archive download-sw (recommended) then it extracts the image and all the files required by the web interface and sets the boot variables.

If you copy the IOS manually then you'll need to copy all those files and folders yourself manually too.

Hope that helps :)

I've exact the same Problem.

You get 404 errors with all kind of Browsers. CLI is working fine.

All firmwares after JJ1 have this Problem.

Hi,

I was trying to install the AP as a stand alone mode & later found out that the IOS in the AP was set to talk to a controller.

Changed the IOS and added few files for  browser based access.

I was able to get the HTTP access.

I´ve tried an manually install… (JPJ3)

You can go on AP Website, but you can´t Change anything...

Try (Easy Setup - Network configuration - static IP, and type your new IP - and apply)

you will get an 404 :-(

I´ts the same with 90% of the Settings.

best regards Paddy
