Hi there,

When I do "show mesh ap tree", I understand the tree but dont understand what are sectors and why are APs in different sectors? What do sectors tell us?

(Cisco Controller) >show mesh ap tree

===============================================================================
AP Name [Hop Counter, Link SNR, Bridge Group Name, Channel, Preferred Parent]
===============================================================================

[Sector 1]
----------
MAP17(RAP)[0,0,default,149,None]

[Sector 2]
----------

|-6c8bd3edf73c **
|-MAP19[2,30,default,149,None]
|-MAP27[3,48,default,149,None]
|-MAP07[3,32,default,149,None]
|-MAP39[3,43,default,149,None]

[Sector 3]
----------

|-MAP03[1,22,default,149,None]

Thanks

Look at the hop number. You have 1 RAP and each sectors connect back to that RAP. Then you have multiple MAP’s that connect back to a MAP in sector 2. The hop count will show you if it’s a direct connection to your RAP or how many hops away from the RAP.
