WLC 2504 slow performance, slow internet

Raj .G

1 WLC 2504, 2 Access Points and 1 netgear prosafe router connected to Cisco sg300 switch. We have 16Mbps leased line for 30 members. The MRTG graph of leased line ISP shows very less usage of internet but the speed we experience is very slow browsing. All the devices are wifi connected(Macbook pro). I tested with a wired device and the browsing experience is good.

How do I troubleshoot this?. Can anyone help me addressing this issue?.

I can provide the necessary details such as client details, iperf stats as instructed!.

Thank you!

Hi Raj,

how big is the difference between wireless and wired tests?Have you checked interfaces in the path for any errors and duplex mismatches ?

have you done any tests between,wireless to wireless and wired to wireless?

Cheers,

Prabath

Hi Prabath,

I'm actually new to this wireless stuff. I just did the basic test, the speedtest.net shows fine on both wired and wireless but the browsing experience with the wireless is slow. I actually don't know where, how and what to test in this case.

I tried Iperf test between a wired and wireless clients, I was facing some segmentation fault error.

I need some instructions on how to troubleshoot and want to make sure that everything is fine from/to WLC.

Iperf results,

Client(wireless):
