WLC HA SSO Setup - RP issue

Hello guys,

I have 2 WLCs 5508 on which I would like to enable HA SSO functionality. But, I have a problem. I can't activate the WLC's RP ports. The RP ports are connected through L2 switches. On these switches, the RP ports always remain in the "notconnect" state.

What could be the cause? What is the speed/duplex I should set by default?

Regards,

Ayoub.

Just to add... you have followed the steps in this guide for SSO, and using the correct port? I’ve seen that happen a few times so just asking.

Since the 5508 is EOS, was this in production in an N+1 state and your moving it to SSO? Couple more questions, your standby controller, is that an HA sku or does it have at least 50 AP license?

It doesn't matter if the RPs are connected to a switch as long as the VLAN is trunked across the other switch.

Have you test the RP of wlc1 connect directly to Wlc2’s RP?
