4500 Camera Analytics Page Doesn't Load

I have several Cisco 4500 Cameras where when I connect to the analytics page the connection is reset.  I did a windump from the workstation and see that the reset flag (I think) is tagged in the response from the webserver.  My only thought (aside from a problem with ALL of the cameras) is that it's network related.  Thoughts Please?

The answer (TAC) is that if you change the default name on the camera from anything but CIVS-IPC-4500 the analytics web server will shut down causing the errors I were seein'.  I had changed the camera name to match the naming convention my customer wanted.  After changing back the name and a camera reboot the anaytics works fine.

No other comment...

Eric. Have you heard if that this will be fixed? I have plenty of 4500E cams newly and also need to follow nameing conventions. I was surprised to see some anyalytic port error messages in the log.

Will get into trouble as soon the customers asks for a working analytics.

Danny

Danny,

I have not heard if or when this will be fixed nor do I know that it applies to the 4500E as well.  Can you confirm that is the case?

Maybe you can spin is so that you can use another field such as description to fulfill your naming convention requirements?

Eric

Thanks for your update, Eric.

I have to strongly assume, that a company that is in the network business understands the importance about nameing conventions.... No way we can change this.

Looks like we have to raise it to the BU.
