Has anyone successfully made a service cable for the 5010 / 5011 Cisco IP dome cameras? We are looking for the 2.5mm stereo jack to BNC connector and have found a pelco service cable IS-SC but it is RG174A/U and not the required RG174/U (not sure if that is the problem!) Anyway if you did aim them with out the service cable i would be interested in your approach as well. Thinking that aiming 100 HD cameras using a telephone while watching the vsom will be miserable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The correct pelco cable is an IX-SC.

I picked up a Lan Power IPEYE to aid in aiming and focusing of the HD cameras. They can be found on Amazon pretty inexpensively. It steals the power from your uplink to your PoE switch, and then creates a local connection between the camera and your laptop.

If anyone is having difficulty building a cable via the Cisco or Pelco docs, the Pelco cable IX-SC is the correct part, and may be sourced through online parts suppliers like Anixter.
