6400E Camera Security Certificate Page - No Option to Continue

Hi folks, was hoping someone has ran into this and has a quick fix.

Recently I have been trying to access my 6400E web interface pages and when I get to the initial "there is a problem with this website's security certificate" page, there is not a link to "continue to page". It is only happening to my 6400E's so far that I can tell.

I have done some research into this and have followed a few "fixes" in IE 11, but to no avail.

Has anyone ran into this issue? If so what did you do to fix it?

Thanks!

-Nick

Can you get any detail regarding the certificate that its presenting to you?  (I don't think I have a 6400 handy to check myself).

I wouldn't be surprised if it's to do with security precaution rollouts for the various browsers to further protect against crappy legacy ciphers.

I'll see if I can get to a 6400E here...

Also, just found this regarding IE11 (which I don't currently use) on another thread that *may* have some relevance:

"

If you also want to get rid of the Certificate error when loading VSOM, in the Internet Options, on the Advanced tab also uncheck Warn about certificate address mismatch and then on the address bar while it's red warning about the certificate error.  Then when you open VSOM in the browser, click on the certificate shield and click on view certificates, then install certificate then next, choose place all certificates in the following store, choose browse, then select Trusted Root Certification Authorities, then OK and next then Finish.  When the security warning comes up, select Yes to install this certificate and then OK on the import was successful.  Next time you open VSOM you won't have the certificate warning.

"

On second read... this seems specific to trusting the self-signed cert to avoid the warnings.

Thanks Scott, I gave it a shot and no dice. I have tried everything under the sun and nothing. Even put a TAC case in and still cant figure it out. It's not only 6400 series cameras, its most of the newer ones released in past couple of years. It only happens on cameras, VSM, VSMS, gateways or any other device on my network. If i find a fix ill post back here.

Hi folks, just checking back in to see if anyone has run across this issue yet and found a resolution. It's truly aggravating not being able to access my cameras to view video. Right now what I have to do is use Chrome or FF and log in the camera and enable http then use IE to do what I need to then go back and uncheck http.

Hopefully there are some updates on this.

Thanks!

Yeah IE 11, I think particularly in Windows 10 seems to do this.  It basically has a security error message but will not let you proceed.  Not sure if there is any way to bypass it or not.  Accessing cameras directly I usually go through Chrome or FF now.

I get the same issue as you logging in to a 6400E
