Cameras going offline in very cold conditions? Or something else?

I maintain a lot of cameras for a USD.  And need some feedback on a couple questions.

1. Is anyone else running a Cisco VSOM based system in a K-12 environment?

2. Is anyone having problems with 6030 or 6630 cameras going offline in very cold conditions? From 15 degrees F to -10 and colder? It's either a strange coincidence, or these things have heaters I haven't found, or they are shutting off.

Here are some of the details of the temperature and conditions it can withstand:

Operating temperature 6620 and 6630 IP camera:
-20 to 50°C (-4 to 122°F) using PoE
-50 to 50°C (-58 to 122°F) using AC

Cold startup:
-10°C using PoE
-40°C using AC

Operating temperature for 6030 IP camera:
-40 to 131°F (-40 to 55°C)
Cold startup: -40°C

 1.  Yes

2. Also yes and not limited to the 6030 and 6630s.  When temps shift rapidly it's not uncommon lose a few cameras.  At times a simple shut/no-shut will bring them back up but occasionally one would require re-eating the patch cable.  I chalked it up to expansion/contraction of the rubber/copper.

Yes, but when it's within the written parameters, I'd rather not have to restart them.

Anyway, it's spring/summer now, so when winter hits, I'll get back into it.
