Configure an external storage (iscsi)

Hi,

I have SM-SRE module , the VSMS 6.2 is running on the module , i want to configure an external storage (iscsi) , i follow these command to configure iscsi but it failed :

IPVS-module(config)# storages iSCSI ?

  STRING            Unique iSCSI tag (media1 - media9)

IPVS-module(config)# storages iSCSI media1

IPVS-module(config-iscsi)# target-ip 192.168.54.30

Connecting 192.168.54.30...  failed.

192.168.54.30--target connection failed.

Use "state disable" then "state enable" to retry connection

Hello,

Have you tried issueing the state disable command, then trying the commands again, followed by state enable?

Also, check out the Local Storage for Video Archives Using iSCSI document and the Configuring iSCSI Devices document . I'm not sure if you already have these documents.  If it still fails, then you'll need to get a capture or something to investigate where and why the connection from the VMSS to the iSCSI is failing.
