Hi,
What is the proper method to sending live stream from IP CAM 4300 to a Cisco Digital Media Player 4300G. The player is able to play MPEG-2 TS and H.264 AFAIK. I believe I will need some sort of transcoding so I am thinkoing of any software option to do that.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

Hi Walidazab,
you can use VLC to broadcast the camera stream in the required format by DMC.

Hi Karan,
Yes I did try VLC and I can stream to DMPs from VLC. However when I tried with the IP CAM, the DMP shows a blank black screen. What we did is that we acquired the camera's RTSP stream using the HTTP Session ID and the feed plays normally on VLC. Then when I try to do the same we did before it fails. That is transcode the RTSP stream to
MPEG-2 + MPGA (TS). Then the DMP fails to play this multicast stream.
Thanks
Walid
