Hi.
I have a retail related question reg. the very common approach to have a display available in the shop area that shows certain cam views.
It's certainly not intended to have an expensive and complicated approach with the matrix client. Those displays are normally far away from any technical room. Not to mention the addtional issues with such PCs out in the shops.
Is there a way to do this in an elegant way?
Regards
Danny

I have done this before with lower end systems, but here is a thought for this,
You could use a PC client, with a VGA extender (takes cat 5 and actively or passively pushes it up to 200 ft)
Hang your monitor where you need it and set up the machine to either clone the current desktop, or extend the desktop. I would clone as it will be easier to manage the display.
Hope that helps.

That's indeed a way to do it. When there is no other way, this would be the only option we have right now.
I hope, that Cisco would finally use and integrate existing solutions like the DMS player. Then we would not have to extend video signals and use PC hidden away.
