Trouble viewing h.264 archive

I just set up an archive for the first CIVS 5000 series HD camera. It has two streams, primary h.264, secondary Jpeg. Only the primary H.264 stream is set to be archived continuosly. It is on a 30 day continuous loop. The archive file is being written on the server, and the live feed shows fine, but when i try to view and scroll the archive through VSOM it is stuck on the first frame from when the archive started. I am on IE 8 and VSOM 6.3.1.

And actually it does show as I scroll through, but with a lot of latency.

I assume your servers can handle the h.264 stream? Are all servers updated to the current firmware? I had that issue at one point because the company we paid to upgrade our servers did not install the same firmware on our two
