Guys I am unable to view anything in VSOM 7. I am trying to view video on Windows Server 2008 R2 and when I try to view video I get a
"MPClientXML view description pointer is null in updateView" error. I am trying to view video in PSOM, but if I cant view the video on VSM 7 then I cant view in PSOM. Someone please advise.
Thanks,
Earl

I don't believe Windows Server is supported. I'll have to check the release notes however... :-S

Yes, Windows 7 is required for both the IE web client and 64bit Win7 specifically for any SASD clients:
"
A PC or laptop with the following:
•
Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
•
Minimum resolution of 1280x1024
•
You must log in with a standard Windows 7 user a
ccount. Logging in with a Guest account can prevent
video streaming and result in an error to be disp
layed in the video pane: “Cannot create RTSP connection
to server. Check network connect
ion and server health status.”
See the

ation Performance Ba
seline Specification
for the
complete baseline performance specifications
for a video surveillance
monitoring workstation.
