VSM 7 MSP, 2 NIC's on 2 VLANS

Hello,

I have a use case where one MSP 2RU Media Server needs to talk to cameras on two seperate VLANS. The situation is the cameras are on 2 seperate vlans, and due to some routers being in the way and other reasons it is not practical to flatten the network at this time.

I am fortunatley able to phsycally patch both networks to a central location (where the media server is) but I cannot not change their IP addresses due to complications at the distribution level (again, it's a long story, and yes we tried to fix this the "right" way first but there are obstacles in the way for the foreseeable future).

So my question is, can I set the static address on NIC 1 for network A, and make the 2nd NIC a static address on network B?

Reading the docs it seems like this is OK for a dedicated media server (as opposed to a VSOM). Wondering if anyone else has set up something similar? TIA.

I've utilized the secondary ethernet adapter on VSMS instances for out-of-band console access to the servers themselves.  I've never attempted a multihomed VSMS instance servicing cameras on each interface.  I'm curious what the outcome would be.

Best of luck!
