VSOM/Cameras doubts

Hello Netpros,

I am a bit puzzled in regards to the following:

1) Video settings(quality, bit rate, size etc) : Do they have to be identical on vsom and on the camera? I suppose that vsom is using the settings as defined while adding the camera and not the ones "reveived" by camera?

2) Time settings: Are the archives stored using the vsom's time or the camera's time?

Can you please clarify the above?!!

Thank you

1) VSOM pushes the settings defined in the database to the camera. Subsequent changes locally at the camera will be overwritten by the VSOM settings. Subsequent changes in VSOM will be pushed to the camera.

2) Just like all the other settings, NTP info is pushed from VSOM to the camera. In 7.x the media server is the NTP server for the camera.
