ACS 5.8 - /home directory is full (96%)

Hi everyone,

I'm running a distributed installation of ACS 5.8.0.32.

My /home directory is full on the primary server, and the "show disks" command in CLI gives me the following warning:

warning - /home is 96% used...

Any ideas what could be causing this and how to resolve it?

Thanks!

Hi

You're certainly facing the following bug:

https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuy63906/?rfs=iqvred

Have you applied the latest patch? It should be solved in 5.8.0.32.4

Thanks
Francesco

Hi,

Haven't applied a patch, and at this point if I were to apply a patch I'd likely need to clean up the /home directory first with a root patch :)

Thanks for the quick update!

I wasn't saying to apply the patch right now lol :-)
But if you're facing the bug, you need to clean it up following the procedure on the bug ID and then apply the patch to make sure to not get it again.

Thanks
Francesco

Hi,

Any idea what kind of symptoms could be caused by the home directory being full?

I can't tell from any Cisco documentation how this can negatively impact the system.
