Hello
I've been trying to set up my ACS to perform a backup but I'm having some trouble:
I set the repository:
repository tftp
url tftp://10.40.1.102/
I run the backup:
acsbackup config-ACS repository tftp
Failed to perform ACS backup: File transfer error
show logg
Feb 9 10:48:28 ACS080125 debugd[2904]: [24812]: transfer: cars_xfer_util.c[954] [daemon]: TFTP transfer error: 17664
Feb 9 10:48:28 ACS080125 debugd[2904]: [24812]: backup-restore:backup: br_backup.c[528] [daemon]: backup ACS080125-config-ACS-110209-1048 copy out failed
Feb 9 10:48:28 ACS080125 MSGCAT52105/root: Scheduled backup failed due to internal error. Please check ADE.log for more details.
I do have connectivity to the tftp and to rights to write on the folder and 90MB space.
Thank you in advance !

There can be problems with tftp and large file sizes. I recommend to try with ftp

jrabinow,
I've tried too but i've got the same error. What is the size of an average backup config? I have about 100MB size available on the ftp or tftp.
Thank you

Hello,
What logs do you see on the FTP server? Does the user have write permissions?
Please take a look and reply to us. Also please attach the repository configuration.

Here is the config for the repositorie:
repository tftp
url tftp://10.40.1.102/
repository ftp
url ftp://192.168.100.1/
user ftptemp password hash 17737ff3e75e935ce5ad12aeb92ce
My FTP server has no logs about attempts from the ACS
show logg

Accoding to this log something went wrong on the ACS. Its weird, its a 2 weeks old ACS managing only 2 devices. barely any config in it.
Now how do i check the ADE.log ?

Can you try using plain password
acs/admin(config)# username admin password plain password
Also, do you see the repository contents from ACS
show reppository ftp

I think this error mis-leads.
CSCtf53802 Inapproriate error message on ADE.log for scheduled backup- wrong repo
Can you delete the repository from the ACS and create it again? Also, what FTP server are we using?

Jatin,
I've tried a TFTP (solarwinds) and FTP microsoft. I see no logs on them when I try to back up, the ACS does not even try to reach them.
What about the bug CSCtf53802, I tried to look it up but is not permitted. Is there a workaround ?
I'll try deleting the repositories.

Hi,
I would recomend opening a TAC case.
