Hi Expert,

As we check on Cisco ISE 1.4 document as line below we found this case support WLC 5508 version 7.6.130
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/1-4/compatibility/ise_sdt.html?referring_site=RE&pos=1&page=http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/1-1/compatibility/ise_sdt.html

But as check with Cisco WLC5508 version 7.6.130.0 release found support only ISE 1.2
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn76mr03.html

And for WLC 8.0.115.0 show support ISE1.3
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn80mr1dot5.html

But on Wireless Compatibility matrix show only version ISE1.3
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

So we want to know the WLC version 7.6.130.0 and 8.0.115.0 can support ISE 1.4 or not ?

Cheers,

FN

Yes, they will both work with ISE 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4, it's probably just the case of that specific WLC version has only been tested with the ISE version that was out at the time.

My engineer just spent all night w/ ISE 1.4 and we are running WLC 5508 with 8.0.115.0. It does not seem to work.

Sorry to hear that, what is it specifically that doesn't work ?

Just basic authentication of clients.  Worked right away when installed 1.3.

BTW, if you look at the matrix, 1.4 is not supported w/ WLC 8.x

Sounds odd, i don't see any reason why 1.4 wouldn't work with 8.0.115.0, except a bug. I have 1.4 running at several customers, with no issues at all. What authentication are you doing? guest, peap, eap-tls?
