CSACSE-1113-K9 Password Recovery

I just just purchassed a CSACSE-1113-K9 and I need to wipe the Administrator password. I am also not sure what the default login credentials even are. There doesn't seem to be much out there for this device or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place? If anyone knows of a procedure, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jason,

I am not quite sure what you mean by wipe the administrator password.

Here is the installation guide which might help you. It will give you details on how to reset the Administrator password.

This procedure only works once I am logged into the CSE. I am at the login prompt so its asking me for the admin acct credentials but like I said, I do not have these. I am wondering if there is a way to break into this thing before it boots up or something to where I can reset the Admin password.

no, only with the recovery dvd .. does depend which version

How can I find where to determine the version and how would I go about obtaining this DVD?

Can I even get into the gui if i can't log into this thing to begin with?

I guess all I need is the DVD at this point, a part number perhaps?

the 1113 appliance can only handle below 4.2 software. but didn't you got any cd with the purchase or did you buy it from someone else ? I don't have part numbers the dvd is shipped with every new appliance.

If you do not have the DVD, then open a TAC case and the cisco engineer will publish the image and insturctions for you.

How would I go about opening a TAC case? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm still kind of new to all of this. Thanks for the help.

You go to cisco.com, login with your CCO account and when you have the right support contract you can login and make a TAC case.. also you can call a number in the USA.. maybe it's there on the support section of the website.
