Hi !

I have build myself a ISE 1.2.1 server in a isolated environment to propare ma next CCNP certification.

This installation is only for lab purpose....

My guest has 510G hard drive

1 cpu

9Go of RAM.

The host it self is a HP DL380 Gen 7 with 3 SAS drives of 300G each

12 Gig of memory

and 1 cpu 2.83 GHz

On a regular basic I have at the console "INIT : Id "S0" respawnin too fast: disabled for 5 minutes"

what is it meaning, what kind of problem this may introduce to me during my labs, and what I should do to address it ?

Thanks !

Hi Xine,

Is the VM thin or thick provisioned ?

Hi !

My host has 3 SAS drives of 300Go each in RAID5.

My guest is configured in Thick Provisionning Eager Zeroed...

Thanks !

That's what we need to avoid this error message. Since this is Linux error, it should be fixed with the following steps running at root shell :

ade# vi /etc/inittab
Comment out the below line in the file:

S0:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty ttyS0 9600 vt100-nav ******uncommented
#S0:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty ttyS0 9600 vt100-nav ******commented

:wq to save the file

Exit from the root reboot server.

Since you don't have the root access, you may want to open TAC case to push these changes.

Jatin

Hi !

how should I get access to the root shell ?  Please take notes, this is a lab setup using trials licences....  I don't have really licence/contrat to DL anything from Cisco.com for it....

what kind of problem I may faced with this error ? what wrong I have done during the installation to get this error on regular basic ?

Thanks !
