Client computers have ESET Smart Security with firewall enabled and NAC agent installed and controlled, previously there were no problem with both systems working together. The problem appeared suddenly and caused users to have disconnection in the network card which caused all applications to be disconnected and unable to work properly. The work around for this problem was either to disable ESET firewall and keeping only the antivirus engine working, or to uninstall the NAC agent..! As a result, we need to figure out this sudden conflict between ESET Smart Security with personal firewall enabled and NAC agent installed…
I'd appreciated if someone can give any advise that would help. Also I need to know the ports that we need to check on the Local ESET Firewall and that are needed for the NAC to work properly.
NAC Manager version 4.7.1
NAC Agent Version: 4.7.2.10
ESET Smart Security Version 4.2.x
Thanks

Patrick,
Are the clients not being able to login at all? or are they on the network and they are being disconnected?
The ports that need to be open are tcp and udp 8905 and udp 8906 for the nac agent to communicate with the CAS.
Thanks,
Tarik

Hello Tarik,
Thanks for the info.
The clients are able to login. And in the ESET Smart Security configuration, the nac client application is added to the firewall rules which make nac active whatever the ports is used by the client.
Thanks
