Career Sys Admin here trying to learn Cisco/WLC on the fly.
Please tell me if this is possible, and be kind.... I'm a learnin... :)
I have a network with multiple AP's in different Groups connected to Two WLC's.
As of now, I have 4 WLANS. My goal is to get down to 2. But in order to do so, I have to be able to provide the same accomidations.
I need to be able to have one SSID that uses 802.1x, (prodnet)where end users connect with their AD credentials. I need a second guest network (guestnet)that uses a captive portal.
The first network works fine and users can connect, use their devices, etc.
Problem is, I would like to have some devices automatically white listed via Identity group (Mac address).
Is this possible? Remember, newb here. be gentle.. :)
Is this possible?
The goal is to make it simple for end users.

We call this "MAC Authentication Bypass" or MAB since you are just the MAC address and not doing real authentication with a password.
Please see the thread Wireless MAB on ISE 1.2.
Yes, it's an older version of ISE but the concepts are the same.
