We’re an MSP running Duo Windows Logon across multiple Windows 11 Pro/home environments. Each setup enforces a 90-day password expiration policy for compliance.
Since upgrading to v5.0 and latest 5.1.1, users are hitting a password reset loop — after changing their password, they’re prompted again repeatedly until an admin resets it manually.
Older versions like 4.3.1 and below don’t have this issue: password changes complete normally and Duo push behaves as expected.
We’ve escalated this with Duo support, and they acknowledged others have seen it too. They mentioned a fix is expected in a future Windows Logon release (targeted for October 2025), but no interim solution yet.
Curious if anyone else with password expiration policies is seeing this or found a workaround — maybe a specific version or configuration tweak that avoids the loop?
