Trying to upgrade my CUPS PUB & SUB from 8.6.4.10000-28 to 8.6.4.11900--1 (both under current VM ESXi 5). MD5sum'd verified ISO then estacted it to DVD, mounted DVD to to VM and did the Upgrade (no reboot / switch) starting with CUP Pub. Watched the log and it seems to have finished - DVD ejected etc. But the OS Admin GUI still says it is running. Went over the the SUB and repeated the process and it is doing the same thing. Have a TAC case open since Friday but engineer only asked if I verified the md5 hash - and he is probably off for the weekend. I would really like to have the system upgraded before Monday. Is it safe to do the switch and reboot startoing with the PUB? I am attaching the last part of the log I copied from the OS Admin window....
